Ad Radar: Track Which Ads Appear in AI Search Results

What is Ad Radar?

Ad Radar shows you which advertisers are paying to appear in AI-generated responses for the prompts that matter to your business. Instead of guessing who's buying visibility in AI search, you get a clear, ranked view of competing domains, their impression share, and how their presence is trending over time.

How to access Ad Radar:

1. Log in to your Trendos workspace.

2. In the left sidebar under Reports, click Ad Radar.

Filters:

Use the filter bar at the top of the page to narrow the data to exactly what you need.

You can filter:

  • Date range

  • Prompt group

  • Prompt

  • Country

Impression Share panel:

The Impression Share panel on the left shows the top advertisers ranked by their share of total ad impressions across your selected prompts.

This gives you a quick snapshot of who dominates ad visibility for your chosen prompt group.

All Impressions table:

The All Impressions table beneath the panels gives you the full ranked list of every advertiser detected in your selected prompts and their ad count.

Tips for getting the most out of Ad Radar:

  1. Focus on a specific prompt group. Ad activity can vary widely between different use cases. Narrow to the prompt group that reflects your product category for the most actionable competitive signal.

  1. Watch the trend sparklines. A competitor with a low current impression share but a steep upward trend is one to watch - they may be in the early stages of increasing their AI ad investment.

  2. Compare period over period. Change the date range to a prior period and compare impression share shifts to understand whether competitive dynamics are accelerating.

  3. Drill into individual ads. Click theĀ  arrow next to any advertiser domain to see the specific ad creatives that appeared, helping you understand messaging and positioning strategies.

What counts as an impression?

An impression is recorded each time an ad from a given domain appears in an AI-generated response for one of your tracked prompts.

How often is the data updated?

Ad Radar data is refreshed daily. The most recent data point reflects activity up to the end of the previous day.

Which LLM ads I can track with Ad Radar?

Currently, ads are only available in ChatGPT.
